Default Infineon Raceway

I'll be in downtown Frisco in April and was thinking of doing the wednesday night drags at Infineon. The distance from downtown to Sonoma is 40+ miles.

Does anyone know how long realistically it would take to get there from downtown if i leave at 5pm?

It's not really in sonoma, I mean it is, but it's like right at the beginning of Sonoma, I used to make it there from Frisco in 30 minutes, But I took the 580 across the bay, not the 101, I don't know how the golden gate is at that time, but I do know it's free going North!!

Awesome track btw, I used to go there every week. The actual racetrack is even cooler, I really want to run it this year in NASA.

If you have internet access and want a clue as to the traffic conditions in the bay area...

I used to work as a sys admin there... Hope that helps!

Cool Re: Infineon Raceway

5:00 PM is about the worst time to leave San Francisco in any direction! But it should take about an hour at the worst may be 45 if your lucky at all!
Good luck! I might come to watch!

thanks for the info guys...

i'll be in Frisco for training which i think ends at 5pm so that's why i'm heading out to sonoma at that time.

i'd actually prefer doing a track day at Infineon or Thunderhill for the weekends that i'm there but unfortunately no track day events are going on. so i'll just try the 1/4 mile instead, not as fun but it'll do.

infineon is about 40 mins south of me, which night are you planning to go? I'm not a big drag racing fan but I have been wanting to try it out.
