Re: Finish off that MB air box - ebay
I bought the whole assembly air box/front cover/tubes for less than that from:
Potomac German Auto
4305 Lime Kiln Road
Frederick, MD 21703-7500
(301) 428-8239
Maryland Store Search
I live minutes from them and have bought several MB parts for the Crossfire there. The plant managers name is Marcel (phone# 301-831-8151 ext. 200)... there is still some discretion that the Crossfire is an MB SLK so I'd recommend knowing which part # you wanted and what model it was off of.

Mercedes engine cover #A 112 090 1101
The front part of this two piece cover is part #A112 010 0467
Intake tubes, left #A112 094 35 82, right #A112 094 34 82
Filters, K&N's #33-2181
The intake tubes have to be modified to fit through the radiator support holes if you decide to use them.
Donut seal for engine cover to MAF unit, Mercedes #1120940180 (If original is damaged)

Thanks for the P/Ns. You mention modifying the pass through point of the air tubes by the radiator. do you have to cut these and/or remove the fitting that is on each side. Looks like you would need to do some cutting? what do you reccommend?

Re: Finish off that MB air box - ebay
The Needswings Devil Horns are about the most sanitary way to squeeze the piping through the core support, and apparently they assist lamniar effect, thus helping the engine breathe slightly better. They've been on my short list to purchase for a year now, just have never done it.
At the moment, my passenger side tube is passed through the core support via some 3" fuel hose, but the tube on the driver's side stops just short of the support. It sucks in hot air ever so slightly, so I try to combat this by driving as fast as possible at all times.
The 320 box is a substantial increase over the N/A box. With K&N filters, the thing breathes quite nicely.

That's what I've heard.. luckily I live close by.
