FYI, the cup holder is the same for all 5 years. Good luck finding one and be prepared for the price asked.

I would replace it with the storage bin? They are both usually available on Ebay.

The color is different for the 2004. The 2004 silver trim pieces are glossy and the 2005 and up are matte.

You are right about the price but most likely NLA/discontinued.

I am trying to get a custom spray can of paint to match the silver colour of my 2005 console and I would say that the finish is more of a semi-gloss than a matte.

UrbanE has an after market bin and it is too loose in the cup holders pocket. I think it can be fixed by adding a strip of ABS or Poly Carbonate tight against the bin on the underside of the console. I used acetone on the strip and the console to join the two parts together.

Purchasing a used cup holder comes with risk that it does not work properly if at all.

I too would go with the bin option as the cup holder is basically useless and an accident about to happen.

The cup holder is a piece of crap. If you like to wet vacuum coffee out of your car on a regular basis then get one

if you want something useful just get the storage bin.

From what I have read on the forum some 2005s had the glossy finish instead of the matte finish especially if they were an early build.

I have a 2004 and the Sparkle Silver PAK paint matches perfectly if you want to give it a shot.

WOW I had no idea about the different trim color (heard about dash trim, should have known it would be the same... Ooooops!). I'll try to remember but... LOL

Thats what I did, I actually bought a new cup holder years ago, after it punched a hole in zaxby's cup it came out and was replaced by a storage bin. Sold that cup holder on ebay for a pretty penny though.
