Default FS: Bolt-in Rear End WaveTrac LSD NEW for SRT6/SLK32

UPDATE: Wavetrac is SOLD.

I am probably not going to get around to installing this, so I am offering it to members on the forum.

This is a WaveTrac limited slip differential factory installed and set up by Unitrax for me. Donor rear end was from a wrecked SLK32 AMG with low miles that was in perfect shape. Unitrax went through the assembly, checked/replaced bearings, etc. as needed, installed the new WaveTrac, new seals and so forth. It is still wrapped in plastic and has been stored lovingly this way in my garage from the day I received it. If you are interested in a WaveTrac LSD for your SRT6 or SLK32, you know that Needswings gets $1750 for the differential and setup on your supplied core. Mine includes the entire rear end assembly factory installed ready to do a one day swap on your car. No need to send in your unit and have it set up and returned. This rear end will allow you to do a direct bolt-in and retain your old rear. Two new quarts of Motul included. Note that this is for the later model style that has the circlip retainers. This is NOT for the early style two piece axles.

First $1500 takes it. You pay shipping. If you want to estimate shipping cost, figure about 80 pounds in a pretty good sized box from zip 33615 (Tampa). Or pick up if you are in central FL.

Hmm, not sure what the early style looks like, but I think there's a short stub out from the dif with a bolt on ring or something like that. Axles are two-piece. One solution would be to swap to late style axles. I would contact Devin at Unitrax or just post the question. I looked at an old post of mine and found this:

I believe the early style axle is on '32 VIN numbers thru F257904 and the later style is from F257905 forward.

I must have researched it at one point, but I can't guarantee that info is correct. You'll need to do a little digging. Maybe post a pic of your axles going into the dif on the forum and ask.

My understanding is that Devin is no longer with Unitrax (but I suspect whoever is there could be helpful).

I do not think so, but you would need to verify that to be sure.

Well I'm in the country now...so pull the trigger and find joy. Or don't buy it and live a long life full of regret...
