Fiberglass subwoofer enclosure for all crossfires
Fiberglass subwoofer enclosure for all crossfires
My srt6 was recently rear ended and totalled. I completed the sub enclosure only a few months ago. I won't be getting another crossfire, so hopefully someone here can make use of it.
The enclosure fits over the passenger wheel well. I made mounting brackets that align with two oem retainer clips for the rear carpet/paneling. In my application, I replaced the retainer clips with rivet nuts and bolted the enclosure down. You may be able to simply use the existing retainer clips to hold it in place, but I would suggest installing it as I did.
Its covered in black trunk liner however it is not an exact match to the oem carpet. If you're super picky it might not be for you. Binding post terminals are hidden along the side facing the front of the car and are the screw down type. These are the strongest and most versatile terminals around. They use an all metal design that will accept bare 12 gauge wire, rings, and banana jacks.
Currently fitted is an Illusion Audio Carbon Slim 12" (Carbon C12 | Illusion Audio) sub keeping the total weight around 20 pounds. The baffle of the enclosure is a bolt on design. That means you can cut a new baffle and use another sub in anything from 8" through 12". It was made oval with the intention of trying dual 8" subs at some point. You could also try a single 8" ported.
Sub retails for $800, Asking $600 shipped for both or $200 shipped without the sub. Shipping is extra outside the continental US. Please PM or email
Pics can be seen in the thread I posted to the audio/video section:
