Grille showed up this morning, box was beat but grille seemed OK. Mounting took less than five minutes but something feels missing. Maybe a simple vertical (electric tape here) continuing the lower split ? What do you think ? (up to do a brake job).

Other than the situation my right, lower opening is missing it's going fine. While I've not spent much time in that area, I could have sworn there was one on it. For now I'll be fabricating a couple of brackets to hold it on.

Anyone have a spare they can part with?

I'll, in partial payment, be happy to include two very dead birds. Ugh.

Frequently I say to myself, "Self, that guy really should have read his post before he hit send."

For the opening I'd like to find a complete lower right front plastic air duct. I did also post this in parts. I figured you all need your lower right front plastic air ducts so most likely chances are slim to none someone here will have a spare...for sale.

Not worth falling on my sword for, but pretty lame.

I hope everyone knows it's a big no-no to paint the A/C condenser. That said, I used SEM satin black. It is a fairly thin paint though. Sometimes aesthetics need to win out over practicality.

Contact the seller on this E-Bay listing and see if he can put you in touch with the buyer. I'll bet the guy would be happy to sell those lower inserts because I suspect he really only wanted / needed that upper grille . . .

I haven't looked at the directions yet, but I am guessing from the comments, the lowers install over the top of the original lowers? This is how the other mesh grilles installed as well....

RedDog, thanks for the link. As it was, the bidding had ended on the 3-piece grill set. However, as long as I was perusing eBay, I found an OEM lower right (I'm dying to say opening) grill.

I have an interesting problem on the right side in that the mesh grill wants to ****, because there's not enough room top to bottom. I turned it around and tried it on the left side and it fit fine, so nothing wrong with the grill piece (as I assumed would be the case).

I'm now guessing that this grill piece has been missing for a long time and perhaps the surrounding plastic might have moved around since there was nothing to hold the, ahem, opening's shape.

Ya Doc, they bolt right over top. Push through drywall bolt on one end and a self tapper on the outside end.

Just received mine down here in Australia. Box a bit battered but grille in perfect shape.
Beautiful design and workmanship.
Many thanks again to RED DOG for his perseverance in organizing this group buy!!

That's cool.... and yes the HOLE will shrink if you don't use it, now I think personally this is a lie, but in your case, I think it may be true....good. When it won't fit, lubrication will help I have been told. So plug that baby already....we want photos......lol

I removed mine to fit the covers but they went back in the HOLE "good-n-tight"! Didn't use any lube cause nobody likes a sloppy HOLE!

And some of us don't like scrapping the sides off it either!

Glad to see everyone is happy with the grille. FedEx is still looking to see where they may have delivered mine. They promised to give me a call back with an answer today. ( of course they made the same promise 3 days ago and i had to call them). This so frustrating to deal with.

These are definitely the best looking grilles out there, they make the others look quite bad.

One thing that concerns me is the fact that the lowers are attached to the OEM lowers, I can remove my OEM lower grilles just by pinching them and pulling. We have seen people who have lost a lower grille on the highway and losing one of these new grilles would be sad and awkward to replace.
I think they should somehow be tied back to the chassis in some manner as a precaution.
