Default BAD TRADER SoftballJunnkie

I do not know where else to post this on the site so here it is.

On 17 Oct I purchased a TCU from SOFTBALLJUNNKIE (Brian Armendenz), paypal account greg_sterns@yahoo.com before he shipped the part I was informed by Jerry@Eurocharged that the TCU would not work becuase it is vin specific. I PM'd the seller that I know longer wanted the unit as it was none usable and asked that he refund my paypal payment.
SOFTBALLJUNNKIE Pm'd back stating he had no idea that the part was vin specific and that the part had been sent on the 17th. I PM'd that I would return ship the part and for a refund, he has not contacted me again.
The part arrived on 21 Oct. the shipped date is 19 Oct 2011 not 17 Oct as stated, I assume that since he lied about the ship date he also lied about his knowledge of the parts usefulness. I will be filing with PAYPAL for a refund, but thought that you all should know of a bad seller on the site.

Sry mate but if you are in the trading game you someday will get screwed. Comes around goes around all the time. Try to see if there is some way of breaking the vin# limit to only one car. Must be some way.

Totally understand the potential for bad traders, Just trying to prevent it from happening to others here on the site from the same seller.

I have swapped three TCU's between my SRT's and they all work in both cars.

I also know that a TCU from a NA will not work in an SRT.

Been there done that.

He isn't a bad dude...so, I am sure he will make it right, but you bought the things thinking it would work, so I don't see how he is the bad guy here. Hell I have bought things that didn't work, and ate them, then resold them. Just PM the guy, he isn't on here all the time... Knowledge about the parts first, then buy... I too think they will work car to car, but the experts would know more than me...

I'd be happy to try the part and keep it if it worked correctly. However, he misrepresented the ship date in order to force the sale. For this reason, I feel that it's safer for me to leave the package un-opened until PAYPAL resolves the issue. I don't want there to be any question of swapping good for bad and trying to gain a refund.

He(SBjunkie) still owes me $50 after sending me a CAI with wrong parts and a dirty filter. I also had to wait 3 weeks just to receive it.

Hope you get paid. I'm still trying to get paid for my front grill I sold Dirt Cheap to nox1s. He made a post 8-14-2011 WTB OEM Grille. I sent several messages from this sight and also to troy14@gmail.com without a responce or check. He has my home address info and paypal account information. FedEx indeed made the delivery. I'm pretty trusting the first time around, but people get busy, don't check their emails...get fed up people want your parts then don't want your parts....lol....anyway, I hope it works out, but just like ebay, there is always risk buying over the internet...

It would still be stamped on the 17th the day you dropped it off and payed to ship. In this case the 17th was a Monday and he used the US Post Office USPS priority 3 day shipping!

With the many issue of bad traders we have had, shouldn't we have a bad trader list on the forum that lists the problem members so that the same seller doesn't rip off multiple members?

Actually, I have purchased and sold many thing here on the forum, this is the first negative issue that I have been involved in, maybe we should have a way to rate good and bad sellers.

i reread your op and i have to say no were did you post that the seller agreed to refund any money after the purchase. with most used purchases its no return no refund. typically the seller doesnt want it back. its up to the buyer to ensure he is getting what he wants. case in point i just bought some spacers. i was sure 20mm would do the trick and sure enough it didnt. i emailed asking for a return and was told no. i should have made sure it was the right spacer. its on me not the seller.

did he specify it wasnt vin specific? or was he just sellng a tcu and you assumed it would work? not every transaction goes smoothly and for me i have been fortunate that only a couple of low priced items burned me. for myself my reputation on the forums means more to me than any sale. maybe the seller isnt as worried about what folks think. cant say until he decides to post his side if he chooses.

He did say it was a good usable part for an SRT-6. When I informed him that the part was potentially VIN specific he lied and stated that the part was already shipped. He could have easily refunded the payment 2 days prior to making the shipment. He didn't he lied and stated the part was shipped and then cancelled my paypal refund request on the 19th the day he actually shipped the part. If I get stuck with a non-usable part that is totally on me. I thought that others would like to know of a bad trader so that no one else gets burned by the same trader? Didn't we have a trader on the site a while back with multiple forum names who took money from multiple members?

before you toss the part check with rudy (rcompart). he may be able to zero the vin coding if it is vin specific. he is handy with techy stuff
