The description Chrysler uses for the part is "electrical connector". I've tried that and looked for anything related to "valve" and I don't see it. Does it go by another name? If you do a search on car-part.com for "electrical part misc and wiring", lots of items come up. You could then call the individual salvage yards and ask them for the part.

Actually part # 05161797AA is the kit that includes the motor, see below:

Motor Kit, Spoiler

Kit Contains:
1 - Motor Mount
1 - Motor
4 - Damper
2 - Collar
1 - Gear Wheel
4 - Nut
2 - Lock Washer
2 - Flanged Bearing (MFM-0912-08)
1 - Flanged Bearing (GFM-1517-04)
2 - Cable Tie
2 - Micro Switch Assy
.2 - Screw
2 - Rubber Support
2 - Bracket
1 - Connector
1 - Screw

Your part # (05161796AA) is for:

Drive Shaft Kit, Spoiler

Kit Contains:
1 - Left Drive Shaft
1 - Right Drive Shaft
2 - Locking Pin

I'll do some searching, but I think this is going to be an item you'll have to call a salvage yard directly about if you want it used.

Here's a copy of a TSB relating to the spoiler, which is where I got the part # info. It also includes in-depth instructions on removing and servicing the spoiler.

If you are taking the tranny apart you may want to see this first.
Of course its cleaner with no oil in it and upside down on the bench.

OK - about this plate......
I have a minor "semi hard shifting" issue with my tranny (80k miles).
I replaced the fluid with MB spec 236.10, but still notice the shifting issue. It's not totally anoying - but its also not typical mercedes smoothness.

I watched the vid - amaxing how easy and casual some people make it look. I guess on the bench versus updside down under the car is much easier.
Though it does have a different filter and pan than on my SLK32.

For the sake of $200 - you reckon its worth repalcing?
