I had the high bid on one about 5 months ago and it was sold to someone else for less than what I bid, and I also had first dibs on yet another one about 4 months ago and the seller decided to sell to someone local instead of keeping his deal with me.
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong...

I think the c3 is the better of all the pulleys you prove it every week, if the 185 is faster ,it can't take the week end and week out abuse like your car with the c3 is doing. see ya soon. jim

im out and already have a c3 but what you can do to prove the pulley for those unsure is to foto the pulley on top of your local paper with the date clearly in view. the grooves in the gen 1 and the square edge prove it to be a c3. also measure the pulley and foto it. 65mm is what folks want to see
glws theres not many c3 's out there and they are the best pulley to mod with imo!

I would realy like to see some C3 proff before I make any offer. I have seen too many $500 C3 that turned out to be stock pulleys listed here and ebay. Show me the 65MM measurement. Thanks

 

You are buying used my friend. The photo shown, shows that, at least in the photo, it is a gen 1 Code 3 pulley. It looks to be fine. the worse thing that could happen, is to have to replace the bearing. I might add, a photo of the pulley held on end, to show she is still straight and true wouldn't hurt either, since you are now in the "what they sold for new" range. Good luck all. I like my code 3's, and am a fan...but, I don't need a spare at $600....

Just trying to help...love to have a spare...but, looks like you will get her sold for sure....and I might add to those on the fence, the rareness is there. Until someone sells their ride, there won't be more on the market.
