Default Do you want DRL's? Canadian Headlamp Switch for sale.

I have just swapped my Canadian Headlamp Switch with an American Headlamp Switch as I prefer manually operating my headlamps. The Canadian Headlamp Switch will add the DRL's feature to your car by simply swapping it out with your existing switch. With the switch remaining in the "off" position, the headlamps will automatically turn on when the handbrake is released. Fog Lamps and Highbeams will work as normal. It was removed from a '05, 6 speed Coupe, Limited Edition.
$200 payable to my PayPal account.
If interested, send me a PM.

Cheers...

Hi,
I have purchased an American Crossfire, and need a Canadian headlight switch. Do you still your switch for sale?
Are you in Canada or the USA?
I have Paypal, and a US address to ship to, as I am in Canada.

Did you change the switch in the car yourself? Was it difficult? Any hints?

Thanks

Odd that this comes up today.

I'm going to imagine that tonygg's switching device is factory OEM, and incorporates all the right stuff to make the DRL conversion properly and according to spec. Sounds like the official way to go. I've talked to my dealership about swapping out some particular module, for for about seven hundred dollars, in order to convert to DRL's. This is probably the thing they are talking about, so this sounds like a good deal.

I managed to convert the fog lamps of my Crossfire to DTL's yesterday on the cheap, if any one is interested. You can find less sophisticated DLR kits on the web for about $30-$50 and do it yourself. I purchased a kit from Ignition Systems, Inc. #P/N 480HD for $38.50 it installed it in about an hour. The concept is pretty simple: it connects the lights (in my case, the fog lamps) to a switched fuse at the fuse block (in my case, the radio), so the lights come on any time the key is in the 'ON' position. Just connect the device to the hot battery anode, the switched fuse, the body ground post, and the lights wiring. Viola.

You know where the battery and the fuse block are. The wiring bundle for the lights (all lights) and the grounding post are conveniently located just in front and on top of the driver's side fender. Piece of cake. The only hard part is identifying the right wire in the bundle and the only down-side is that the 'lamp out' idiot light will show up on the dash.

So if you miss tonygg's good deal for the proper OEM device, do not despair.
