3" srt-6 cold air intake, 30+whp, clears supercooler, adjustable k&n filter!!!
There are many 3" cold air intakes for sale, but i feel a few important differences make mine one of the better choices. It is a true 3" CAI with durable 4 ply couplers on the t/b and the filter side. These are overkill...much more durable than the cheap rubber ones. All the clamps except for the one at the t/b are t-bolt clamps so they provide excellent torque without tearing into the couplers. All welds are TIG welded by BDJ's Racing. If you look closely in the pics you will notice coilpack clearance is great, and i added an extra 2" to the tube that meets the coupler at the radiator support. This allows for adjustability and perfect fitment with the supercooler, since the added width pushes the air filter forward into the grille. A nipple for PCV is on the underside of the intake, just out of sight. The intake is finished off with a 3" K&N filter that is larger larger than most. K&N sells their filter with a casted rim on the inside of the filter that reduces the size, i have trimed this off completely for more air flow. Keep in mind you might need to trim your grille and remove your horn depending on what heat exchanger you have. I have installed other 3" CAI's and found that none of them fit to my liking, this intake is a result of some of the changes i made to my design. With the 185 pulley it made near 30whp over stock. Price is $225 shipped. Paypal preferred. Thanks for looking.

You would have to use a straight coupler that is very short due to the fact that as soon as the pipe comes off the t/b it starts to bend. This makes the clamp want to slide off. I know its hard to visualize but this is what happened on some of the earlier y-pipes we used to build. I do have 4 of those 3" tight radius cast bends for sale ill make you a killer deal on if you want to experiment with them. The thing is they are so thick the inner diameter is only about 2.65". All of this basically left me liking the 90 degree coupler design the best.

What modifications would be required on a stock setup? Would I have to remove the engine cover as you did in the example?

im still interested in this CAI, im just curious if this comes with all the tubes that connect to the intake? i remember on the srt 4 we needed a breather filter installed with the CAI and i see one in this pic does that come with it?
Re: 3" srt-6 cold air intake, 30+whp, clears supercooler, adjustable k&n filter!!!
You can run the pcv hose or a breather filter. The intake tube has a bung for the hose welded on. I will include the hose with two clamps.

how quiet is the supercharger whine compared to the needswings? (im only asking because ive heard that CAI not trying to make a comparison as to which one is better)

you know if i wasn't looking for a dual setup i would have probably bought this...
i'm still debating it seeing as i refuse to pay $800 for a <$300 dual intake....
i just love the dual look even if the performance increase over a single is negligible...
i have an extremely busy august...so busy that buying this now is not a smart move for me (seeing as i will not even be in the country for half of august)
if it is still for sale come 9/1... i may be interested.
sooo basically what i'm trying to say is...bump...for now
