I don't know how many of you in LA were watching the news this morning, but some knucklehead sliced his $1m Enzo in half on the Pacific Coast Highway and when the CHP arrived, the driver was nowhere to be found... Estimated speed was 190 mph...

This thing was destroyed behind the cockpit and the engine ended-up 100 yards from the rest of the car... The local PD is searching for the driver... Shouldn't be too hard since all Enzo's owners are hand picked by Ferrari...

I'll make a bet it's someone famous !!! HMMM !!! We do have a big NASCAR race at California Speedway this weekend... SPECULATION.

There was a passenger in the car and he came forward... Name not released yet... Driver still not identified or found...

Now two persons have come forward, neither is admitting to being the driver of the ENZO... No names released yet...

I think this is funny as heck... $1,000,000 down the tubes because somebody don't know how to drive... I think it's funnier that I'm bent on finding out who the idiot driver was and who owned the car... I'm betting some knucklehead hollywood celebrity...

I'm just cracking myself up... I can't believe I'm so fascinated with this crashed ENZO... Since it happened in Malibu, I'm sure we will all know the driver or owner... I just hope the press doesn't drop the story when the names are released... It'll bug me not to know who the idiot is...

 

190 mph???!!! Wow, whoever it is, it was their lucky day. A crash like that at 190 mph should of left them looking like the car. Shows the build quality and engineering that goes into ferraris. Do you know what it crashed into??

 

The plot thickens... CNN is now covering the story and just teased it for this hour... "The owner has been identified but says he was not driving the car" flim at eleven... LOL They still haven't named the owner...

PS: he hit a power pole and launched up an embankment...

This is getting funnier... From the CNN story, the owner is a gentleman by the name of Stephan Ericcson and he says that a German friend by the name of Deitrick was driving the car, They were racing a Mercedes McLaren SLR down the Pacific Coast Highway when they lost control and hit a telephone pole... The driver (Deitrick), jumped out of the car and ran away and they have not found him... The owner, who insists he was a passenger had tested positive for booze...

This crash happened very near Decker Canyon road which is one of the most challenging canyon roads in California....

It's been DEAD serious for 25 years... When I ran with them years ago, the canyons in LA were virtually desolate and you never had to worry about traffic... Now, those canyons have multi-million dollar homes everywhere and the traffic can be unexpected... That is why I only run on the track anymore... But it still exists and is very secretive, exclusive and very, very dangerous...

I'm only guessing that this knucklehead was coming back from one of their midnight events, especially since the accident happened at 6am on Tuesday morning near Decker Canyon and he said the other car was a Mercedes Mclaren SLR... I would guess they were probably finishing-up their night and going back home... And I would guess there were at least 20 other cars in the group...

Read the rules... The group always has a SWEEPER car that picks-up the UNFORTUNATES... and looks for skid marks... And they always leave their dead behind...
Therefore (THE ILLUSIVE DEITER) was probably picked-up by the sweeper...

And I know for fact that the elite supercar mfgs. have had some of their test drivers running their cars with the group...
