Taking a trip down your auto memory lane...
Taking a trip down your auto memory lane...
The thread SRT SIX has on what my Crossfire means to me sort of started me reminiscing on all the cars I have ever had the pleasure and definite privilege of owning. Despite the many cars, it did not make me more mechanically-able, just more appreciative of a good ride.
Shame on me , but the Crossfire is the first car I've done more than just change air-filters and light-bulbs. So much to learn, and so much fun awaits!
So here is my list. Each car is a chapter in my car-life, each with stories that await another time. Despite some nice cars in the past, I am very happily matched with my Crossfire
In all humility, this is not intended as a pissing match, just waxing nostalgia, thank you!
Current privileges:
2005 Black SRT-6 Crossfire (daughter already has first claim on this)
2006 White E500 4Matic wagon
Past in order of ownership (blue text means solely my car):
2007 Silver Chrysler Pacifica Touring AWD (third and last new car!)
2007 Red Dodge Nitro R/T (fun before gas prices rocketed) (second new car!)
2005 Silver Chrysler Pacifica Touring AWD (another Daimler-Chrysler product, so good we took a factory buyback and exchanged for a new one a year later)
2001 Black BMW 330i M-Sports (red leather was love at first sight!) - Japan
2000 Black MB S430 Avantgarde (family limo) - Japan
1998 Black BMW 740iL (bullet-proof glass!)
1995 White BMW 540i (made my commute a joyful thing!)
1998? Silver Dodge Durango V8 Magnum (the only baby monster I ever owned) < correction on year, no longer sure....
1994 Green MB E320 wagon (my first eBay purchase from Arizona, it was perfect!)
1999 Silver BMW 530i M-Sports (who says you need wings to fly?) - Japan
1997 Silver MB CLK200 (our first new car, one of first 10 in the country) - Japan
1992 Black Honda Vigor 32V (old horse with a great heart!) - Japan
1982 Silver Honda CR-X Si (my first coupe and pocket rocket!) - Japan
1985 Green Fiat Uno Fire - Singapore
So what lies down your auto memory lane?

Re: Taking a trip down your auto memory lane...
Can't remember all the years but here goes:
63 Corvair
66 VW bug
Circa 50's Bug Eyed Sprite with a 283 Chevy in it
Circa 60's MG Midget
Circa 60's Austin Cooper (Mini Cooper non S 948cc's)
61 Rambler station wagon (don't laugh it only cost me $79.00 and was a really good car)
64 American (cost me $108.00 and was faster than the station wagon)
Another Rambler/American of some sort, absolutely pristine with the original clear plastic on the door panels
The lady that owned it went blind and sold it for $130.00 bucks Had a flat head four.
68 (I think) Volvo 142 S. What a stone
71 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. My Business partner called it my Wh@re Wagon
Circa 70's Volkswagon Rabbit
77 Alfa Romeo Spyder Veloce (My favorite car, wouldn't be now, but then, I just loved it).
79 Cadillac Sedan Deville
85 300 ZX Turbo
89 Jaguar XJS Convertible (started life as a coupe, a place in Florida converted it) Why? beats me
94 Cadillac Eldorado (Still have it with only 70,000 miles. looks good too).
Finally 05 SRT6
63 Corvair

Thanks for the correction! Not sure how I got that one wrong, and I no longer have records to back it up. Corrected!
