I am, however, still allowed to dream. And having driven an AM Vantage I know damn well why I dream about them. And, yet, in my real world I, too, love my Crossfire.

OMFG............
This is good looking

You gotta be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Neither one is even close to being as sexy as a Crossfire!!
Now those Astons, Delahaye, Duesenberg, Auburn, Ferrari's......I'd love to be held in company like that!

You're young, so it doesn't surprise me that you find the Jags styling awkward.
When I was your age, I didn't think the 1925 Model T was that hot either.

As for the little red hatchback - that isn't even pretty compared to other hatchbacks, let alone other cars in general. Maybe if this list of 50 Most Beautiful was actually broken into groups (most beautiful sedan, coupe, sports car, race car, station wagon, hatchback) it would.......oh, who am I kidding? That thing is just blah, even for a hatchback.

As for skinny tires, even Formula 1 and Le Mans racers had skinny tires back in the '60s. You can't change history.
