Default Bear Mountain, NY, November 6 & 7

Mightyjlr and I have been discussing taking a cruise up to the Bear Mountain area in New York next weekend (November 6,7). The fall foliage up there will be in peak season! We wanted to see if anyone else would be interested in going. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bear Mountain, it's in New York on the opposite side of the Hudson River from New Jersey. Pretty much accessible to NJ, NY, NYC, and CT too. On the weekends, theres always nice cars and people cruising the roads through the mountains, and checking out the different viewpoints they have up there. Theres plenty of nice twists and turns through the mountains. Anyway, I'm sure some of you have already been there plenty of times. It's a popular spot. Let's see whose interested and then we can figure out the details.

Patty and I are interested, but we have plans in the afternoon of the 6th. We could come up early that evening and cruise on the 7th, if that works. Please keep me posted, we'd love to meet up with some of the xfire family.

Well to be honest guys, either day is technically doable but the 6th is best for me. (Football on Sundays)

But we'll see what we can do. It's only been a day so lets see who else responds.

Go for it. So whats up. It's Wednesday afternoon now.

Is everyone ready to go this weekend?

Please let's all post if we are definate, and preferable day.

I'm definate, preferable day = Saturday.

I'd probably go with whatever day is good for most everyone however.

Alright.....I sent like 25 PMs to everyone in the location role call thread that is in the area. Hopefully I don't get flamed over it. No harm in asking....right?

I can't do Saturday....have a dinner and party starting at 4ish. Sunday is open for me

Thanks for the invite! It seems like quit a long ride from us down in central PA, but I'll check it out & see how long it would take. Thanks again for the PM.

Thanks for the invite, but have (what I hope to be) the last round of lawn work to take care of on Saturday.

As for Sunday, with only three races left in the NEXTEL Cup Chase, I won't be venturing very far!

Again, thank you for the PM and the offer.

Sorry the wife and I will have to pass. Am having a new front door with transome installed before the winter hits and I've got to get it finished or my wife and I will have to live "in" the crossfire this winter to stay warm. Wait a minute!! that doesn't sound to bad!!! Keep us in mind for future hookups or events.

Well it looks like 2 are able to make it on the 6th and 2 on the 7th. I wish more folks had been available and that my schedule was free on the 6th. Maybe we can try again down the road. I want to thank NJspeed and mighty for setting it up and I hope that we can get together in the future. I'm still waiting to get into my first xfire hook-up.
I'll be swiching over to the jeep pretty soon but maybe I'll try to set something up in our area in the spring.
Thanks again to all

Can't make it but please continue posting possible future dates. Thanks.

Hope there are still some leaves even with the high winds today. Enjoy.

After a long time finally checked the forum. I would have loved to go if I saw this earlier. Well, my loss. I am in Suffield, and actually go to Fairfiled once in a while. Maybe enxt time.
