SATURDAY NIGHT BBQ at the upcoming Tail of the Dragon sponsored by ..-C-I-C-C-I

I have again made arrangements with the Fontana Lodge to have use of a very big Charcoal Grill and also the indoor dining room on the lodge property called "The Chestnut Room"
Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chips and Baked Beans will be served to all who attend.
Soft drinks and water will also be served but alcohol is your responsibility.
We have a large grill and do it up in our own way so don't miss out

C-I-C-C-I again wanted to sponsor part of our weekend event and agreed that another BBQ night was just the thing to bring us together and have some fun without our cars.
I look forward to having everyone attend and I'm certain it will be a great evening.

Really, really hating to miss this now...it just keeps getting worse...lol....I think will ignore this thread....

 

Doc, if it will help you, know that you will be missed.

 

It is just so much fun down there, it's a tough one to pass by...just glad I made the CAA this year, 'cause it has been down hill since then....I guess there's always next year....I will at least be done modding the cars by then and enjoying them more...I will miss all of you as well....

Think I got it covered....
I'll need to make a run to Robbinsville on Friday afternoon after I arrive at the lodge and unload my car.
I need to pick up all the burgers and hot dogs + tomatoes, onions, etc.
Also I will get all the cases of soft drinks and water there.

I will be bringing all the chips, condiments, baked beans, paper towels, plastic ware, cups and cooking utensils from home.

Where I will need help the most is set up Saturday after the run back at the Chestnut room and slicing the tomatoes and onions and getting the grill started.

 

free food just what I don't need, I eat to much of the stuff I'm paying for now

To all who are attending the BBQ (hopefully everyone)
You are welcome to bring a desert to share after dinner.

 

The BBQ was a success and the weather was perfect.
We served 130 Bubba Burgers and 70+ Hot Dogs along with chips and baked beans and drinks.
I would estimate we had about 125 people attend.
Thanks to Danimal, msxfire, crossfirefrank and Bluecopupe for helping with the grilling and to Karen (Harbor's wife) who prepped the food and all who helped be sure we didn't run low on anything on the serving table.
It was a busy time so I hope I didn't forget to mention anyone else who pitched in to help here.

We will do it again next year !!!
