Default VOTE (in the poll) for a location - Crossfires Across America - June 2010

There have been numerous suggestions on location and the type of events (track day, drags etc)

We need to close on a location and what we want to do once we get there. dedwards0323 has made suggestions for both Omaha and Topeka tracks and has been persuing options there (thanks!) St. Louis and KC both also have tracks of some kind.

The choice will come down to other items such as sightseeing opportunities, lodging and entertainment. Obviously the larger cities will have the most choices of those things. I have listed the poll to close in 2 weeks and majority will rule as to the final destination. Once that is done we can proceed on with all the other arrangements.

Please refrain from suggesting any other destinations.

The poll above has the final 4 cities to choose from.
These cities were the final choice because they are the closest to the center of the US.
So vote now !

Thanks to all

St. Louis has the Arch, Budwieser Tour, and Grants Farm where the horses are kept. Very nice sight seeing. They may still have boat rides from the shore near the Arch.

lets see, Colorado Denver-Colorado Springs area has Budweiser, Coors - Golden Co. cruise nights, Royal Gorge, Pikes Peak, Cave of the Winds, Cripple Creek, rocky mountain National Park etc. All within 3 hours of each other depending on where you start from, plus lots of mountain roads to test your driving skills.

LOL, while Colorado is a great place, it's not on the list of central places. So if it can't be Chicago or Colorado, which one would you vote for?

I voted for Topeka only because of distance... really doesn't make a big difference for me from Dallas, TX

St. Louis, though honestly, any of the cities previously mentioned/discussed would be just fine with me. Never been to either Nebraska or Kansas so it would be fun to add those 2 states to Kurts Master List of States Visited .

Everyone has their own opinion; heck I'd still vote for Rapid City, so this idea of going wherever the majority chooses is a good one. Can't please everyone all the time!
Good thinkin', SRT!!

I am currently a maybe to come. We lived in Omaha for 12 long years, therefore I vote for St Louis a much better place to visit.

I chose kc cause its closest to me BUT St Louis isnt that far so it would work for me too. I like the idea of a photo shoot with the arch in the back ground,. Can I change my vote??

I say you stop the voting now. There are soooo many of you in that area it's a no brainer that St. Louis is going to win.
Duh!
Sorry West Coasters.

I thought it had already been determined this was going to happen in Omaha???

I'm too tired to dig around so if this poll isn't valid, can we delete it or somehow close the other one?

Erzer,

I thought it was done as well....however, the reactions to it made me believe the destination should be what the majority wants. The other poll is closed for the time being. We all have two weeks to vote on the final destination.

Thanks,

Karl

Omaha was proposed and was the focus but Karl and I felt the need to allow a vote by the members to make a final decision.
It should not be decided by any single individual.
The old thread is temporarily closed and this thread is linked to it in order to hopefully get all the people who have responded so far to VOTE a final city.
The members vote will decide.

This is a list of everyone who has responded since the first thread was posted by SRT SIX...

Can't change your vote unfortunately but one unchanged vote should not change the outcome of the poll.
