Cool New Member, love hate relationship with my SRT6

I have a 2005 SRT6 convertible with 60K third owner. Lots of fun to drive. But had the Crankshaft Sensor problem. Thanks for the thread to convince my mechanic to replace only that for my cutting off problem. The top wont go down, so it looks like a hydraulic pump issue, sounds expensive, so the top stays up.
Now when I lock the doors, the tow release indicator flashes and within 3 minutes the emergency lights start blinking. Thankfully no alarm. Will try my other key fob to lock, but it happens even when I lock the doors with the physical key. Any help will be appreciated.

Ok, the top not going down is almost NEVER a hydraulic pump issue. We can talk about that, but for now, try watching this video:

As to the lock problems, raise the trim in the back and look for water - report back after that!

I saw the video. The latches pop open, the lower top slowly rises. The cowl was rising slowly, now not at all. Sounds like the motors are straining more than before. Unfortunately I don't have that tool he uses.
Neophyte question...what do you call the "trim"?
Thanks for replying.

Trim - the cardboard-backed lining of the trunk. BUT, now that you explain that, it sounds like low fluid in the pump, which implies a leak somewhere. It is usually easy to find a leak by manually moving the top and looking around in the top stoarage area.

And do not be so sure you dont' have that tool, every car came with one. Search: Glove box, console compartment, bag hanging between the seats and in EVERY pocket under the trim / mat in the trunk!

You can sometimes get by with a long skinny 10 mm open end wrench for the tonneau lock ......

He has point there, what trim?
Also I am assuming that this applies to automatic Crossfire's as well as the manuals as the title suggests. I know it does but the title suggests otherwise.

I believe the subject for manual is operation, not Crossfire.

The cosmetic lining in the trunk area is not called "trim", is it? OOPS.

I just realized you are referring to my video's title.

I hate you now...

I am just being picky for future readers. I would call the 'trim' the trunk lining, trim is normally something a little different. As you can see it does say Manual Crossfire, the word manual is in the wrong place in the title.
I always read it the way you meant it, others may not though.

Ya really got me on both points.....

Video title fixed, I'll leave the rest as-is, as fixing it would only confuse the thread.

Cool Re: New Member, love hate relationship with my SRT6

Does anyone repair the RCM? There was tighed1 that did, but that was 2009. Replaced the Crankshaft sensor, but she gave up on me last weekend with the hot weather.
