Exclamation Missfire after hard driving - injectors cut out

Hello all.
I have just bought a 2004 crossfire normally aspirated version and I have a missfire when I have driven the car hard!

I have checked various things - ignition side is all working fine but I have No1 and No 4 cylinders not injecting.

I have tested this on an ociliscope and I am not sure why.
I have no other faults - scanned with snap-on modus and only the misfire code stored.

Has anyone else suffered with this??

Could be as simple as a partially clogged filter causing low pressure in the fuel rail when demand is high.
Also could be the injectors.
Worth checking at any rate.
New filter and swap the injectors to other cylinders.

OK help still required
I have replaced the fuel filter with a genuine new filter.
Missfire still occurs after a hard drive on cycl 1 and 4

It is not sending a pulse to the two injectors. Cycle the ignition and it runs fine straight away. Drive hard - missfire - cycle ignition - all ok

ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY

Anyone else had this?

Since it only occurs with hard driving, could it be a heat related wiring issue ?
You could try running a couple of parallel new wires from the PTCM connector to the 2 injectors.
It is kinda strange that those 2 injectors are next to each other in the PTCM connector, and that they are the only 2 in C3, the other 4 are in C2:

Thank you for that guys.
This afternoon I have cut open the loom and traced the wires from the injector to the PTCM and they are in good condition with no kinks, brakes, chafes etc

Could something else be faulting at hard driving and cause the PTCM to stop the injection pulse? It seems it is a decision by the PTCM to stop injection on those cylinders.

Try moving the coil packs around see if the misfire follows.

The answer to your problem is within the schematic of the fuel injector system, put on your thinking cap and use the process of elimination starting with the injector, work your way back to the connector going to the powertrain control module and if you find no problem from the injector to the powertrain control module connector then the logical conclusion is that the problem lies within the powertrain control module itself. You will need an ohmmeter in order to check continuity and resistance. YouTube has a wealth of videos describing how to check the injectors,

Is there a buddy close by that you could grab the PTCM from and try ?
As far as I know, it is not coded to the car, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Is your's 1121535379 ?
There's TON's of those on the salvage yard lists here as low as $50, maybe you can find one there over the pond ......

The only possible difference that I could think of is the difference between SRT 6 and na, but I don't know that for sure.

Yup.

I rode it pretty hard the other day and parked it (left it on) and ran inside to grab something. Came back and it had the same issue. I just turned it off and cranked it and it was back to running at a normal pace.

P.S. This should probably be in another forum section.
