onehundred80, not sure what your referring to in your statement about information? But every question was where I was at in the information network. I didn't know about how many holes he drilled and where, until they were done with it(the car) and I picked it up with the part. They just said they had to drill it to unlock it.
And as far as the key being duplicated, I was told of a place in Miami, but really didn't want to drive all the way down there, except as a last resort. Called a bunch of Mercedes dealers around Orlando and is was as if it was a trade secret, they were not willing to share. It was a locksmith who finally told me he could get them cut.
If I have offended you in some way with my questions, I apologize. Every one of my questions, that you answered and directed me to the answers, were greatly appreciated. I will try to make any more only on intelligent items. Thanks again for all your help.

Because the so called expert at the Chrysler/Dodge dealer drilled about everything he could. Must be at least 7 or8 drill holes in the steering lock and he must have 1st tried drilling out the actual lock cylinder. My question about the transponder chip is mute anyways, found a lock smith that can cut Mercedes/Crossfire keys. I say I wasted my time asking why you could not use your old lock cylinder and solve all your problems, now you say he tried drilling out that same cylinder, had I seen that statement I would have had my answer already.

I have read the instruction on how to change out the clutch/ pressure plate on the "how to page". My question is: How do you determine when a clutch needs changed? And should all the other components be changed with it? I haven't been able to get any copies of what has been done to the car prior to me buying it. Chrysler doesn't want to give me any service's that have been performed on the car. So I'm guessing it maybe the original clutch. It has 70,000 miles on if it is, it isn't grabbing, chattering or slipping. Just looking ahead to a trip I'll be taking in July. Any input is always greatly appreciated.
