Default Hello everyone

Well I was looking for a Jaguar xk8 and a friend of mine that owns a used car dealership called me last week. He said i have something here that you might like. I said what is it? He would not tell me I had to come down so I did. It was a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire convertible. I was told I could have it real cheap. I said how cheap? The reply was $2700.00. I took it for a drive and said OK I will take it. It is not the Jaguar I wanted but it is a nice interesting car. I do not know much about this car but with all of your help I'm sure to be an expert soon. It runs and drives very well but has 170000 miles on it. I was told the engine was replaced with a smashed cars 25000 mile engine. I do believe him as he has always been a very honest guy.
The car is black with black and white interior. I am having all the dings and dents taken out of it and going to repaint it Sunburst Orange a Chrysler color. Black cars are not good here in Florida as it is just too hot here in the summer.
Well wish me luck with my new Crossfire adventure!

Great choice for a new color, I've been wanting to find a "Base" Crossfire for a long time and paint it the same color you chose. It always amazes me how many "black" cars there are in Florida, I don't know how people get into them when they've been sitting out in the sun cookin all day. You have the perfect "Florida" interior too, when it comes to leather seats.
I wouldn't worry about the miles on the car, even if it had the original engine. Don't forget to post some (before and after) photos of your new ride. Enjoy!

You purchased a car for $2,700 and had problems, that is a surprise.
You were not exactly easy to get along with, the car is gone and so are you, so I guess we are all happy.

This thread was for the Hello and Goodbye.
For some of us it was Good Riddance.

I know that more than one person helped you out, I was one of them. I actually said that it could be a wire for a light before you stumbled on the fast that it was a wire for a light.
You can rest assured there are many here who would like to help you out the door, probably you meet this kind of helpful person everyday. Bye!

I've owned my Crossfire going on 11 years without many issues and I have been on this Forum going on 11 years. As a person, I think I'm high caliber especially having served my country in uniform in two branches of the military. I already voted for Trump not as a Republican although not a Democrat or Independent, but as an American.

Well, as we all know, there are Crossfire people and there are the others and they don't deserve a Crossfire but to say that this forum is not helpful! Many times members go way out of the way to be helpful, even driving hours to give assistance. Those people who don't get along on this forum, in my opinion, probably don't get along very well in other areas of their life! Their loss!!!

I hope you are not referring to me, I have tried to help more people than most.
As for spelling my iPad fills in words before I have even typed them, sometimes changing the word entirely.
The person who started this thread was never satisfied with any help he got, got bitter and twisted and then started to insult everyone.
