Description:
Looking for the cluster trim piece that goes *under* the dashboard and *above* the glossy black bezel that frames the clear instrument cover.
I've seen a couple of these that are chipped and scratched like mine, so I'm guessing it's a common issue.
EDIT: The arched piece I'm looking for is broken at the corner. You can see it at the left, even in this bad photo.

For those kinds of parts, eBay is usually your best friend or even local junk yards..
Is this what you are looking for? Just got to make sure it's the right color. Click Link
Looks like that one has a broken tab on the back but I just posted it to get an idea of what you are looking for and just so you know where to check. Just search for one that looks good (like the one above) or see if you can get this one for a great price as the clip isn't that important and/or can be fixed. It can also be attached in multiple ways that doesn't require that tab and might hold strong without the tan anyways.

Thanks for your input Nick!
So far eBay is coming up empty. Haven't found a local yard with a Crossfire.
The part you pictured is what I referred to in my opening post as the "glossy black bezel." The part I'm looking for is the arch that goes above it, acting as a sun shade.

Yes, that's the part I thought you were describing. I've never seen one for sale on ebay or for that matter anywhere else. I know it to be glued on to the dash pad and because it is very thin, it may be difficult to remove without damaging it. It's possible some Chrysler dealer may have one sitting on a dusty shelf. I wish you luck finding one.

Re: MTB instrument shroud trim
Try going to a Mercedes dealer and give them the part number: A1936800087. Grab any 2001 to 2003 SLK 320 VIN from a cars for sale website and tell them it's for that SLK 320.
It's on the underside of the dash panel. Like bluecoupe said, maybe there's one on a shelf somewhere.

Forget about going to a Mercedes Benz dealer for this part. Any part that begins with A193, is a Chrysler Crossfire part number and will not be in any Mercedes part database. The Mercedes part numbers begin with 170 for the first generation SLK's.
