Re: Dual mass flywheel, DMF
Hello there out in AZ.
What brand of flywheel is that? Is it the flywheel only or do you have the clutch components also? How many bolt holes does the flywheel have where it attaches to the crankshaft? One last question, any ideas on shipping to SC at a 29669 zip?

Re: Dual mass flywheel, DMF
Just wanted to chime in for others on the hunt for flywheel information -- something is amiss either with my car (unlikely) or the crankshaft used in the NA Crossfire does NOT match what was put in the SLK320.
I've had my car since it had 77k miles on it and I got it in 2015. Hard to imagine the motor has been opened up and internals replaced in that time, but it is possible.
Assuming my engine is unopened, I have been trying to figure out, if that is the case, then WHICH Mercedes vehicle is the correct DMF.
I have a 2005 NA Limited and am currently in the process of returning a 2003 SLK 320 dual mass flywheel, I was luckily able to find one specifically for the Crossfire with a general search that I normally don't do. Found it at a place called "Trodo" and it was priced in Euros.
They take PayPal, which gives them enough credibility in my books, plus I generally have good luck with refunds from PayPal if needed. My car will sit on stands for another 2 weeks roughly as a result. My original seems in pretty rough shape..
For reference, here's the Mercedes part number as scribed into my original(?) flywheel: A 112 030 19 05
I have yet to nail it down to a matching model, but the flywheel that showed up for the 03 SLK 320 looked exactly like the one at the head of this thread, and the bolt pattern was wrong.
update: some more digging and I've found the crank bolt pattern that I have matches what I see on a lot of engines with flexplates, such as E320, SL500, etc.. so maybe some Crossfires made it out with Crossfire only flywheels after all since the two specific Mercs I mentioned don't have manual options. Just shouting to the void about my problems in case it helps someone else to not go insane in the future, cheers!

I am also looking for a flywheel, I see in previous threads the mention of a website Trodo which I have just ordered hopefully the correct flywheel for my 2004 crossfire six speed manual. It has a strange bolt pattern with four holes on one side of the wheel and four holes on the other unlike the slk 320, hopefully this is the right one. I’ll update later with more news
