Description:
looking for insulation pad for engine compartment
Re: mice love my insulating blanket
I have three Crossfires, one of the SRTs does not have the insulation. The original owner was tired of trying to keep it from rubbing the engine cover so he removed it. It looks cleaner without it and I have found no negative effects from it not being installed. The car is black , I thought the extra heat on the hood may affect the paint but have not seen any problems.

I have no ties to this company but I know others in this group have used them. https://www.hoodliners.net/

Sitting behind the engines in a plane is noisier than sitting in front of the engines.
Re: mice love my insulating blanket
We have placed LED lights on the floor around the car, and this has kept the mice away from it. I got this tip from a friend that lives in AZ, and they have pack-rats, she has them around all of their vehicles. I purchased either a 25 or 40 foot led rope light from Lowes.

Re: mice love my insulating blanket
Original owner of my car took the insulation off for some reason and said mice ate it so he never bothered to find another one. Seems to be fine, no issues noted. However you can tell on the air box where it rubbed off the silver paint from the insulation when it was there.
I would say about half the vehicles I've owned didn't have any hood insulation, never seen it as a problem.
