Re: Vibrant Red Crossfire Convertible
Crossfire Limited Roadster (USA sales)
17970 Limited Roadsters sold in the USA
3386 Black (+ 1938 Base)
3158 Inferno/Blaze Red (+ 1107 Base)
2612 Aero Blue
2474 Silver Blue (only color NOT AVAILABLE with "Dark Slate Gray/Cool Vanilla" interior)
2150 Alabaster
1808 Yellow
1346 Graphite
447 Machine Gray
327 Bright Silver
262 Oyster Gold
Red is the 2nd most common color for USA Roadsters. There were 3158 Limited red roadsters PLUS 1107 Base red roadsters, so 4265 red roadsters sold in the USA in total. BTW even though Chrysler played fast & loose year to year with their descriptor of the red car's color many people agree it's the same shade of red whether the car is a 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008. At most, the shade EVERY YEAR is close enough that the point is uncertain.
I like that this car has the "Dark Slate Gray/Cool Vanilla" interior. That's far more important to me than the exterior color. But what gives THIS car its value is the mileage.

Re: Vibrant Red Crossfire Convertible
While I agree with the majority of the Crossfire Owners on this point, I have had a couple of body shops (with what I consider to have "high quality" paint services) tell me that there is a slight different in the tint between years. Both of these shops will "scan" the paint color on the car to get the correct match. Whenever I discussed whether this was simply a product of exposure over the years, both shops disagreed with my point. Not worth arguing with them.

Curious if this is related to the difference between paints having a Clear Coat vs. a Pearl Coat. Pearls are somewhat "milky-looking".
