Replacement seat covers

Default Replacement seat covers

Are the drivers and passengers seat covers interchangeable?

They look identical to me...… just checking if anyone else has experience with replacing a worn drivers seat cover with a passenger seat cover.

I have a parts list that says the covers have different part numbers. But who knows as these lists are unreliable

I guess I will see what the difference is when it arrives. I might be the first to attempt it.

I ordered the entire rear seat back complete in great shape for $87 with free shipping.

The drivers seat of the Graphite XF I just bought has 181k miles worth of wear. Bolster is worn through and the stiches are separating at the head rest.

The plan is to swap the bad for the good.

If it works, it would be good information for the forum....

Now that I look at it, the passenger side has some sort of button strap thing on the back of the head rest...…. I bet that is the difference between the 2, and it would be a different part number.

The bottom seat covers only have leather on the door side of the seat the console side is black nylon type of fabric so i doubt that you can swap them. The uppers I don't know.

Yep, just going to change the upper seat back.

Drivers side seat bottom cover is in good shape.

I did this once before with the leather seats in a Miata, the passenger side fit the drivers side with no issues.

Won't be here till next week, and will be a few days before I get around to swapping it out. I will keep this thread updated.

My Christmas present this year is recovering the seats of my 05 Limited Roadster. I am going to have them done with a graphite base as stock, but am adding bottom and back cushions in aero blue with silver bolsters matching the dash trim. Should be gaudy enough for me.

So what was the outcome, did it fit OK?
Only been waiting for 3 1/2 years.
The strap is for a baby seat addition.

Christmas in July! Works for me. If you're doing this yourself, please update with photos as I may be doing this as well.
