Center Trim
Center Trim
Ok I know this topic has been talked about here before but so far I've not seen any clear directions on how to remove certain parts of the center console trim. Specifically, I want to remove the cover of the ashtray/coin holder, the center airbag indicator cover, the lighter cover, and the center AC duct cover. Any instructions on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Center Trim
You can download the service manual that will explain how to take your whole car apart. Just kidding, it will help you though. You can find it here if you didn't know. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=13875
Re: Center Trim
First remove the radio. then remove the center console (two screws to remove first.
Next there are four screw holding in the lower section with the ash try, air bag switch and cig lighter. after removing those screws push ashtry housing to the left and back, then remove to the right . If you remove the ring around the gear shift there are two screws to the front, remove one and you will be able to speard the lower console enough to get the ash try housing out. I haven't reinstalled mine yet but thats how I got it out,
Check out section 23 page 392 to about 400, that should help.

Re: Center Trim
Thanks, that helps quite a bit actually. I also looked at the pages and it is a bit more clear. That just leaves me with the Center AC vent cover and the two silver parts on the console itself to figure out how to remove.
I appreciate the help and am looking forward to having a better looking dash when I get this stuff done in carbon fiber.
