Default How do I bolt aftermarket seats in?

Has anyone installed aftermarket seats in a limited, with just off the shelf parts. I would like to go with a Sparco or Cobra style seat. All it has to do is slide back and forth. I know about the wiring and such. It's just the bolting the seat and tracks to the car that is holding me up. I would rather not fabricate parts or drill holes in my car.

I would also be interested to hear what you find out, as I do know HDDP did this in his race car, I think he said it gave him another 4" of headroom.

Your best bet is going to be removing the factory sliders, and installing them on your new seats. I haven't seen this done on a crossfire yet, but I'm sure it is possible and quite simple if the factory sliders are removable.

You may have to fab a minor mount bracket, but most aftermarket seats come with a universal base or slider that should mount to stock sliders (with little or no modification).

Does anybody know if the sliders can be removed from the stock power seats and put on aftermarket non-power seat's?

Take a look under the seats and see if there are any bolts. If so, they are likely easily removable...

I will look at mine tomorrow, but I'd be willing to bet you can remove them (because I doubt the dealer would want to replace a WHOLE seat if they can just replace a slider/mounting bracket if and when something fails).
