best way to remove center console/dash cover (silver plastic around radio)

Default best way to remove center console/dash cover (silver plastic around radio)

how do you do it without cracking it? start with the top or bottom? take the radio out first?

i believe it is held in by press clips... i would use a drivers license or credit card and attempt to slide it under an edge and pry gentle... it should begin to release.

If you remove the radio, you will notice 2 small phillips head screws (one on each side) above the radio opening. You must remove these before trying to remove the silver trim...

Yeah, I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get the trim loose and then I found those small screws...took them out and it popped right off.

You need a set of keys/pins that get inserted in the small slots in the radio, and pull out.
