It was unexpected for sure. That test puts a "dent" in Volumetric Efficiency. BUT... I do feel better about that minor flat spot on those downpipes I got from you Les.

Yes, finally got them on last spring. Ran them into a Magnaflow Tru-X pipe, to OEM resonator, then Magnaflow SRT6 muffler purchased from Rob. Love the enhanced sound; and no drone. No Dyno info. sorry; I'd probably be disappointed anyway. It sure feels like 20whp though, lol. I'll be running the road course a couple of times this summer at Sonoma, and will get a video and sound clip to post here.

Your in the ball park with your guess. My dyno numbers were around 16 hp with the downpipes closed and 26 hp with them open. My long tubes were supposed to make 30 hp and made 4 hp over the open downpipes. Hummm ….. 26 + 4 = 30 …… Advertising is funny that way.

You know, I've never really thought about it that way, but the LTHs probably would have given you the advertised 30RWHP if you didn't already have the downpipes installed.

Seems the biggest single choke-point is the cats (obviously).

I'm curious to see what kind of power the Needswings headers would produce with an e-cutout installed a foot or so downstream. For $1,300, you would theoretically have the same HP as a LTH/cutout setup

Open headers made 7 hp over the open downpipes. So the stock resonator and muffler cost 3 hp. (Stock redline and no changes to the tune.) Perhaps I should go back to the dyno to see where I'm at now. My tune was changed last year.

Interesting video. I feel better now about the slightly flattened spots on my exhaust pipes from speed bumps. :|

John, You need to purchase a set. This would perhaps ensure that you get yourself back into another SRT6; you know it's what you want. I'd like a set of those headers Rob has now! It just seems like the right thing to do, completing the exhaust. Great to see you posting here again.

Thank you sir! It's funny how the more life changes, the more some things stay the same. The SRT is what I know, and oddly enough, still one of my favorite cars even considering the new cars on the market.

I'm in zero rush whatsoever, but I am actively monitoring all of the for-sale sites. Looking for a low (40-60,000) mile SRT Roadster, Aero Blue or Graphite, and would like to keep it under $13K. It's not impossible, just gotta be patient
