I turn 69 this coming March. Like many who become ancients, we wax a little nostalgic, I am looking back at past Christmas times and in review they were all pretty good for me and my family. And New Year's always came with resolutions to make things better, to be kinder and treat the world with less selfishness.
Yeah, I believed in Santa and all that crap.
I always tried my best to be good and get on Santa's nice list.
Despite not ever getting what I wanted, ever for Christmas,,, Okay one time I got the Shakespeare fly rod I wanted to buy but Mom said NO,,, yet it was under the tree,,, and one Christmas I got the love of my life,,,, But that doesn't count 'cause I didn't ask Santa for that,,, but really in terms of selfish personal requests,,, I cannot recall ever receiving what I had asked from SANTA.
And further, I cannot recall keeping one resolution for much more than a month or two.
So this year I am going to try sumptin' different. With some hope for success. Just one year I want to try it...
'Cause I see so many people act this out and they seem to be having a good time.
Instead of asking Santa for anything, I asked for nuthin'
Nope, I been good for 68 years. Time to grow up......
And come New Year's I resolve, in 2016, to make a commitment I think I can keep,,,,,, and I have resolved therefore to spend the coming year dedicated to the proposition and goal,,,, to get on his naughty list!
Merry Christmas and Happy New year guys and gals.
See you in the new life of 2016!

Re: New Year's Resolutions and SANTA CLAUS
I did that last year and I think I will try it again. It's much more fun than the nice list.
