SLS coupe is a whole 'nuther sexy topic, and is irrelevant to this discussion since I've specified ROADSTERS literally every chance I got. Puff-puff-pass, Nick... not puff-puff-puff
Come on John you gotta make it a little harder

Hang on a sec -- wasn't it your car that the announcer at Beech Bend mistakenly ID'd as a SLR?
IIRC, we were anxiously awaiting some kid in the stands to upload a video to YouTube of the "Mercedes SLR" getting its **** whooped by grip-grip's SRT-6
This further proves the point that all Mercedes 2-door roadsters look the bloody same!

Was I racing Grip or you?

This could turn out to be a brilliant marketing campaign for NISSAN as consumers find out that MB is buying their engines for MB cars. I'll bet NISSAN sales will be on the increase overall as a result. Hey if the engine is good enough for Mercedes then it must be good.

Although I am not a big Nissan fan, according to this video, "Powered by Nissan" is not a bad thing.

Than the Crossfire, and the new SLK is derived from the current SLS much the same with the R171 being similarly shaped as the SLR. My friend you may want to look at what is in those nice cigars you've been smokin.
Oh and there was nothing wrong with a miata. It was just way too slow for me, handled well though, and at times was a blast to drive.

I hope the Mercedes brand-purists remember that when they grab the keys to their lofty "German" cars.
My not-so-subtle point? The only thing separating one car from another, is the badge on the front. With today's SCM alliances, nothing is sacred. Japanese-manufactured components in Ferrari? You betcha.
It still won't stop the snobs from looking down on you in your lesser "Chrysler", unfortunately.

It has the best of both worlds, power train from MB, Body by US.
