Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I am spending the day detailing my car. I decided to join the 21st century and bought a Porter Cable buffer. I am experimenting with some products. It is really hard to see swirl marks on SSB but they are there. The clear on these cars is SOOOO hard! Getting the fine scratches out is not easy!

Just spent most of Sunday at the track in the heat. Even with a headwind, I was still able to come out with a few 11.9's, the best being 11.92. So the car performed well even with all the heat soak. Did manage a personal best '60 of 1.695. No complaints here!

Drove the clean XF out for an SCCA event, didn't realize (until I almost got run over by an M3 and a viper) that it was the One Lap of America (revamped cannonball run) event and I got to be a course judge, a C6 Z06 spun out like 20 feet in front of me.
I saw 77 of the most powerful cars I have ever been around perform literally feet away from where I was standing (I was on cone duty at the slalom, and very busy). Afterwards we got to run our own cars on the same course, very cool stuff. I quickly learned that I need to improve my skills, but damn am I addicted

Yesterday, it finally warmed up enough for me to vicorously clean my engine bay. Eventho the car only had 17K on it when I bought it in March, the engine bay was probably never given attention. After 3 sprayings with Simple Green and flushing, it then looked presentable. After a final wipe down, I sprayed the whole bay with CD2 engine protectant, and followed with another spray this AM. UNfreakinBELIEVABLE!!!!!

I bled the brakes and will put the wheels back on now that all the brakes from the SRT6 are changed over and the motor is in place. Still having some issues with the BAS system. But the engine sounds good and soon I will be on the road again with the SRT engine in the '04 ........can't wait

Debated whether to put Squirrel Crusher's "short bus" shades on my car bare or clear coat them first...
For as much as I like SSB (almost as nice as BSM except no SRTs were made in that color), I liked the shades in their original state more...
If you can stay to topic and keep it clean, responses are OK...
