Dad's money
Dad's money
Perfect example of someone not caring about their vehicle because they didn't have to work for it, dad bought it for them.
Went to the shooting range this weekend. It's out in the woods, so it's a pain to get to. Recently the rain has made it bad enough that the way I go you need to be up off of the ground a bit more than the crossfire, but not bad. However, the other way in you literally have to have a truck with huge tires and way off the ground to get there. It's got 2 foot deep ruts in the mud in spots. About impossible to get through.
So I went out with a couple of friends. One of them has a big bronco, so we took the muddy route because he enjoyed riding through the mud. Well, this guy was out there with a very nice suv, tahoe looking thing. Looked new, 08 or 09 and had some custom stuff done to it. Not a bad looking truck. Well he starts going out through the mud. He gets stuck in some deep stuff, and starts trying to wiggle it out. It was happening where we has just passed through, and I told my friend that was driving to slow down because I thought he was stuck and wanted to see if he could get out. Well, this guy puts it in reverse and floors it. Mud starts caking up in front of the front tires, until it gets thick enough that it rips the entire front bumper off. He gets out, looks at it, and throws it up on top, not a care in the world. He then managed to wiggle out and drive on.
He was very nonchalant about it, didn't seem to care that he just caused a ton of damage to his very nice vehicle. But I guess when you can just call up daddy and have him fix it for you, why worry about it, right?
