SRT6 = 1 California Highway Patrol = 0
I just got home and found a $259 bail refund check in my mail box from my first speeding ticket in the SRT6 - CASE DISMISSED - YES!!
74+ in a 55 - and I didn't even have to go to court, I did a trial by written declaration. I was sure this was the ticket I would lose. (busted on radar)
I'm even more confident that I can beat ticket #2 - 80+ in a 65. (On hearsay evidence)
First two tickets in over 15 years (But in my first car)
I'll take the refunded bail from this and hopefully the other ticket and invest in a Calibre remote radar detector.

Hearsay testimony is secondhand evidence; it is not what the witness knows personally, but what someone else told him or her. This is not admissible evidence in a court of law.
The CHP that writes the ticket cannot testify (in a written declaration) that another CHP Officer clocked me speeding on a radar system. The evidence shows that he was dismounted from his bike and did not have his radar gun in his possession. (He admitted to this when he pulled me over and I asked to see my speed on the radar readout - which he must show me). I had my pocket voice recorder going when I got pulled over. If you have this feature on your digital camera or phone– use it.
The CHP officer cannot testify what the other officer witnessed and recorded. The ticket has the radar unit for his bike that captured my speed; conflicting with what Officer told me. Got that covered in my declaration. The Officer is not intitled to see my declaration prior to providing his. I'm willing to bet the Officer does not respond in the 30 day time frame.

[quote=BrianBrave]In my case, One CHP on a bike was hidden behind some bushes and tagged me with his radar gun as I went by. Another CHP on a bike up the highway pulls me over and writes the ticket.

Back in Wisconsin, countless tickets were issued, and paid by offenders, in exactly the same setup-but with the then-new laser guns. They'd (cop #1) "paint"you from a hidden location, radio ahead to cop #2 and he would issue the citation. It never happened to me, but to a number of friends.
Gestapo/Stasi/KGB/Kempei Tai, whatever!
Good Luck!

Re: SRT6 = 1 / Chp = 0
You know, it's just amazing to me that the highway patrol and/or local cops don't have better things to do.
Oh, wait, they do! They just don't want to do them, or they are not assigned to do them by the administrators. Because patrolling for criminals, crime prevention and investigation don't bring in nearly as much money as tagging speeders.
It's just another form of taxation. Why don't they just forget the "public safety" bull$hit and call it what it is: taxation. Give people the opportunity, and I bet they would just pay an annual tax that would allow them to drive as fast as they want. I know I would. Hell, I do it anyway.
