Default Help with Side Chrome

Hi All,

Recently got some side fender chrome. Each one of the 6 trims has two small holes on the bottom to install them. Does anyone know if the silver vent trim on the crossfire comes off, and how it is done?

Thanks

Where did you buy your chrome fenders? Is it a chrome cover or a chromed fender?

It is the chrome covers that go over the three (on each side) silver fender trim pieces. They are chrome stainless steel and will look great when I get them installed.

They come with glue. I just cleaned, dried and used the glue and some electrical tape to hold in place for a few hours. Now it is solid.

MAYAman, mine did not come with glue. Do you know what kind of glue you used?

I'm almost positive it was the glue called GOOP. It came in two little tubes, one for each side. It was a very sticky substance and once on it is very sturdy and seems to be waterproof, just like GOOP.

I installed mine with some permanent bond epoxy stuff recommended by an auto parts store. cost about $4. same process and worked great.
