Default Recommended replacement LED fog lamps...

Anyone have a preference? I read through the sticky (HID) on how to do it, but I didn't see any recommendations as to what to get.

Both...I might be able to afford it! I was looking at this:

HID Kit Xenon Headlight H1 H3 H4 H7 H11 9004 9006 9007 | eBay

But for the LED fogs, this: 2X Canbus 9006 15W High Power Driving Fog Lights No Error Hyper Flash Decoders | eBay

Now that I look at it, though, the first option is probably the best...

Looks to me as though either will work.

We'd like to see the LED's tried out! Guinea Pig?

Look for the ones with the metal ballast from the proxenonstore on ebay I havea had them and they work great. In fact I have a new set in the garage and extra ballast from other kits.

Hey Max... those might make for some decent fog lights! We got 24 watt led wake lights on our boat.. "Warning do not look directly into light" takes on a whole new meaning with those.. LOL.

I'm running these as DRL's in my Avalanche.. 15w.. no way they would make for fog lights..

I bought these and installed them in my #1 SRT6 roadster and my SRT6 rescue roadster. They are a bit more powerful (55W). I'm very happy with them so far . . .

How does everyone feel about CREE LED headlights.

"Promising kits" are more expensive then your average HID kit.
(not saying cost is a deciding factor)

But anyone use them yet with good results? If so what kind did you use?

I am all for LED's being the new technology, even my house is full of them lol.

I have the Morimoto H7 Elite HID kit from TheRetrofitSource, and in terms of lumes it puts out around 2800-2700 worth of them.

I would totally go to the LED systems if they matched the lumens at least, but they give you less usable light in total. Hence why car makers like Acura use on average 5 to 6 LED systems per headlight, to at least give you something to work with.

Doesn't there need to be a resistor installed somewhere so the "lamp out" light is not activated?

Odd thing is, my 35watt HID kit from Morimoto doesn't trip the lamp out on my car. I run it without the resistors.
