Default Parking standing lights

Quick question:

The parking/standing lights are listed as w5w, I believe in the owner's manual and on this site. Are they just what are commonly known as wedge bulbs? I checked the net, and w5w's look the exact same, and I can't find any listings on ebay for w5w...

Thanks

David

Yeah. I don't understand your question 100% cuz I dont know what wedge bulbs are, but I changed mine and there was nothing I could ever find under w5w or whatever it says.

I just bought the hyper white ones that are 5w and they work fine.. I told my performance guy it said w5w and he was like oh its probably just one of these 5 watt ones.. Their the same bulbs used in a zillion other car applications.. Like the size of a pea, with a flat side to insert into the socket.

the W5W are plain old 168 or 194 bulbs, theyre just a little brighter, as far as i could tell. Any wedge bulbs will work just fine. W5W is a european thing, i believe.

Question Re: Parking standing lights

My Plasma PIAAs say W5W on the little plastic box. Where I bought them the guy said,.................
"They are 5 Volt and the "W" is for White, it could be "A" for Amber or even "B" for blue."
He may not know what he is talking about, but since I had no answer and he was quick to give one............................................... .Maybeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Tony, those lights really look awesome on your car. I think they would look cool as well on a white car. To replace them, would the old one just pull straight back out of the spot with needle nose pliers or something? The space is really small there. Do they just "click" in?
(wish I could get faster internet service here, you're lucky!)

Thanks for the Kind Complement i wish i know what lights your talking about as i upgraded A: head lights & B: parking lights but ill explane about the both hehehe

Ok the head lights are a KIT that i got from the web from the Email addy i posted in last post from www.hidplace.com its a kit that comes with every thing u need to upgrade to HID either 6000k or up to 1000k mine is 8000k means a stronger beam but lighter colour/purple/blue like the 10000k is not as strong as the 60000k. not that hard to install comes with new bulbs wireing & harness+ballet will take around 1 hour fitting there universal so no probs there...............

The Blue Park lights i had to install because of the HID upgrade the normell dident look so hot like b4 as the HID is ultra white diomond/blue how ever u call it made it look 1980's franch style YELLOW as they useto have it back in the day but getting the old ones out is a little tricky yes u need a long nose plires for that job & a pull no turn as its a wege/shuvle bulb u can try twisting a fraction no more i hope i have explaned if u need more info i will be happy to help if i could
p.s The white Xfire makes my knees go ITS A WHITE THING U WOULDENT UNDERSTAND AHAHAHAHA I WONDER WHERE I SEEN THAT i love da white wohoooooooo shame not avalable in the UK otherwise i would of have 1

Do you have to take the headlights out to replace these bulbs... I want to use Amber ones - I love when a corvette is coming towards me... so sexy.
