As I understand it Fog lamp assemblies are hard to find. That said there is no reason you cannot install themif you find some. I would recommend Ebay for the lights and the dash panel switches.

There is an issue with the monitoring system. I'm not sure how it will take having non factory lights added. Evenif they are stock standard issue items.

Nothing, in terms of mods, seems to com easy on these cars. Good luck with it.

There ya go, I guess that's what I meant. Hard to find chap or reasonable.

Is it worthit to go factory? Or cheaper to just make somthing out of stock aftermarket parts.

I've wondered if you couldn't take the "fillers" and modify them to hold some small round ones?

That's right.. now that I've helped a little.. make me not like you!

LOL.. those would be cool if they would fit in that "blank" to keep a clean looking fit!

If I get one poked out - those blanks are cheaper than 1 replacement and I'd have to look into options along those lines. At least I'd have the wiring already..

We have a very different concept of "soon" it seems..
Found out at lunch I have a busted passenger side..
Looking for 9006 bulb fog lights and have found the 01-06 BMW E39 and M5 use them - don't have a clue on overall size yet... Just looking for some options beyond OEM since it wouldn't be impossible to replace this one and turn around in two months and be looking for another one..

Both of the fog light glasses are broken on my xf, so I was planing to go to a junk yard and cut a clear piece and glue it, somehow.
But I think I found something better on Ebay which looks too good to be true,
Can y'all please take a look and tell me if it is a bad deal????
So many people looking for fog lamp assembly, I hope this helps us all.

180 took care of it.. I sent an email to the seller...

"Do these have an OEM fit in the opening, or just round that you mount in? Your picture shows a factory look fit.
Thanks! "

Time to wait and see..

Now it is time for me to take the headlights out while waiting for the reply and clean the glass really good before I get an angel eye and HID kit matching with my 'future' HID fog lights

Guess my question wasn't technical enough for a direct answer..
(short version = no.. these are just high dollar round ones that will look like crap when you install them.. but no one will notice at night)

This kit includes its own mounting brackets that mount independently of the factory mounting points. If you have plastic inserts currently covering your fog light holes then you will have to remove those to install this kit, which is required of any fog light installation. Please take the individual lamp measurements of approximately 4 inches Height x 4 inches Wide x 2.5 inches Depth and measure your front bumper to ensure exact fitment prior to bidding. We also have 2.75" and 5" sizes by e-mail request if you prefer a different sized lamp. Our lamps are much higher quality than any of our competitor's lamps, and that is why we are the only ones that are capable of showing such detailed photos and descriptions of our products in our auctions. If you are unhappy with the fog lamps for whatever reason, you are always allowed to return them for a refund as long as they are in brand new condition. Please let us know if you have any additional questions that we can help answer. I hope this helps, and thank you for looking at our auctions!!

Thank You!
