Yes, but those are clearly tail lamps, some of these LED tag lights look almost like backup lights they are so bright LOL

Hmm.. just noticed hong kong.. my vendor has them listed at $200 now.. LOL

 

I got mine from the California link in the post just prior to this, $9 more but no shipping from HK. Got them in about 3 days.

 

Rather than leave the old lights on the shelf after replacing them with LEDs, why not replace the trunk light with them and add another trunk light while you're at it.
The lights will fit in the hole, they just may need to be held in tight. The LEDs fit perfectly, I'm just not sure of the OEMs.

 

Just put these on my 04 Coupe and love them. really shows off the back of the car. Which is really rather sexy!

One note, these sets need to be SLIGHTLY modified (as others in the post have had to do with/to theirs) so be aware they are not 100% without a little modding. I am not sure if the other sets mentioned need the same 'trimming' or not. I didn't HAVE to trim em, did it for comfort/tinkering sake.

 

I wish.....when removing the OEM's, I first removed the lenses. Then using a plastic trim tool (as to not scratch any paint) I started to "pop out" the black base, but ended up damaging not one, but both of them as they were removed. They bent very easily and ended up cracking apart...regardless of how gentle I tried to be. The new LED's work and look great with no bulb out indicator, but salvaging the original parts was unfortunately not an option....

 

Well they are best removed by pinching the clip behind, tough I know, but if they crack so what, glue them up and put them in the trunk, no rain to worry about in there hopefully.

 

I just got a set of these, but how does the black plastic housing remove from the liftgate after you remove the clear lens?

 

They have plastic clips on the ends that I didnt know where there till I broke them both off. Not sure how you would get to them but you could start by pressing in on the ends and seeing if you get any movement out of them. Good luck.

 

I used my drivers license to push in from the sides nearest the latch between the light body and sheetmetal .. kinda rocked it in and whala.. she was outta there.

i did my car full out in led , with the exception of brakes and turn signals, (havent had time) and head lights in HID , the inside trunk light i put a much bigger light over the original housing , and it lights it up great, and 2 194 style bulbs inside the map lights with many leds on them , license plate i used 2 39mm led bulbs and they look gorgeous , and none of them throw a light out code, i avoided error cancelling bulbs since i hate the light output they produce, i get the occasional flicker of light when i hit the window switch , but the light out put is a fine trade off, i need to get prictures up soon!

and having the Crossfire back on the road the last few weeks, I have decided that they are little too bright for my liking. The difference is subtle, but where you notice it, is on the body panels on either side of the license plate

 

My lens for my plate light on the driver side is cracked. There is noticably water getting in there and causing a short to cut the dash light on, even while the plate bulb is on. Some times it does not iluminate and sometimes the light goes out on the dash while im driving. I'm thinking replacing the stock lens is all I need to do with the LED's I bought at Advanced. Otherwise, they seem to work great. Anyone know where I can get the OEM lens with the seal attached? I see bulbs, other assemblies, but not the oem on this thread.

The Mercedes LED assembly just slides in where the bulb snaps in place? is that the easy way to put this to rest?
