Anyone aware of any fog light interchangeability between our cars and Benz's?

I need a driver side fog light ( broken bracket) and the cheapest I can find one from a dealer or ebay is around $200 (new or used). Meanwhile, SLK and C Class fogs are going for $40-50 on ebay. They look similar, but the mounting brackets don't quite match.

Any thoughts, or should I just bite the bullet and pay the $200?

or if you have all the broken bracket pieces, try epoxy and some steel rod reinforcement .....

Yeah....I'll crawl under there this week-end and take a look. MrMopar doesn't have any, and I submitted a request to Car-Part.

If I have to buy one from a dealer, at least I'll sleep well knowing that I helped the parts dept mgr make his Sept boat payment.
