black out trim to match wheels
black out trim to match wheels
I just got my trim back from the paint shop and installed it tonight. The handles were much easier than I thought to remove so I am glad I decided to do it this way instead of plasti dip. I have matte black wheels and they matched it perfectly. Sorry my car is soooooo dirty, it has been on jackstands for a while now.

I also did the grill but haven't put it on yet.
I'll post some more when I get it set back on the ground and washed.

Re: black out trim to match wheels
I'm very interested in seeing the grill as I'm trying to figure out a good color combo for when some of my other parts go in to get sprayed... I don't love the window trim being silver but I don't hate it either... I'm so torn...
glad you did the handles along with the rest of the parts though, it definitely brings it all together

Re: black out trim to match wheels
I finally have the tires mounted on the wheels after waiting for the TPMS sensors to arrive.
Now I just need the freaking SS brake lines that I have been waiting on for 3 weeks so I can set her down and clean it up. USPS lost them.....
The grill looks better than I thought. I didn't know if I was making a mistake but wanted to try it before buying an aftermarket.
I am really glad I found the removal instructions for the exterior door handle and got them sprayed too.
The paint guy was a geek about the quality of the matte black paint and the baking finish too, they gave me a discount if I promised to bring it buy when it was all put together again.

Lighting was bad in the dark garage, hope to get some in the daylight tommorrow. I am happy with the matte black for now, pictures don't do it justice. No I noticed the roof trim molding paint is chipping
washed it up a bit to avoid being pelted by threatning fans.

Re: black out trim to match wheels
Thanks, I was surprised at how easy all the trim was to take off. $150.00 is what the body shop charged to shoot everything. The passanger side strake needs to have the windsheild washer resivoir removed to get to it easily. Door handles are 2 each 4mm bolts and you don't even have to remove the door panels.
The wheels are TSW Max, you'll need spacers to make them fit. You could go same size but would have to make up for the factory height offset with different profile tires. Check SilverWolf he has the same wheels in the factory heights.
