Rain Shielding for side windows?
Re: Rain Shielding for side windows?
I think so. That's a good price. I paid by the foot 1.59 and bought 25 feet. I thought that I had measured out about 12 feet from front to back. But then used only front to just behind the drivers window, so I have more of this laying around then I needed. Just measure up the pillar to behind the door opening and I think that might be about in the 7' range, so 14 feet for both sides. But you will have it in 2 pieces instead of the one from front to end.
Good idea IBLUBYU on the liquid electrical tape idea. Never thought of that one but should work. I've got some clear silicone at home so I'll try that AFTER I get a chance to drive it in the rain and see what I've got to begin with.
In any event I'm glad I found something that does the trick for the most part.

A further update on efficiency ..... Raining here today, pretty steady, but not a gulley washer, and after sealing the seam area with liguid electrical tape, NO OVER WASH into the car when windows were down 2 inches. There still was the occasional rain that came in sideways just because of the 2 inches, but the OVER WASH is gone. Have fun ...... Over and out .......

Just an update for this ..... it's been 2 1/2 years since I did this and it still works perfectly. One of the most practical mods I have done. There are a lot of new owners out there now who might want to consider this. Just sayin ......
