Default Headlight Aiming

Okay, so I aimed my headlights upwards, and that was a big mistake. Its hard to see right in front of my, but easy to see far away. So how many inches should the headlights be aimed from the ground. (From Ground to Projector Cut off line) Thanks!!

Do you have other cars that shine the way you like? Pull them up to your closed garage door and see where they hit. Use more than one car if you can. Then adjust your Crossfire to the same height on the door.

I don't know where I read it, but another method is to pull up behind parked cars on a dark street and adjust yours so they are just low enough NOT to shine in the side rear view mirrors of the farthest cars.

Maximum distance viewing without shining in others mirrors or eyes. This is what I did, and it works well.

Comparing a shine spot on a near object depends on the relative height of the lamps. Think about that.

Assuming you have not adjusted them horizontally, at 25 feet on level ground the cut off line of the low beam should be level with the center of the lens. You can tweak it from there if you need to.
