Default Opinions on my Grill trim - RED

DSC02173.JPG

DSC02174.JPGI searched the photo gallery, and didn't find what I was thinking about trimming the grill. So .... being totally bored ..... I used some red electrical tape, and dressed the silver on the grill. I know its not a perfect color match.
What do you think? Ricer?

I like it much better than when people simply paint the entire grill body color...

I would consider painting all the gray plastic gloss black and the leading edges (like you have them) in body color red. You will have some money into painting them, if you have it done right, but I still think it would look better than many options out there...

Doesn't look bad in my opinion.
I don't think it looks "Ricer" at all.
In the end, it should be all about what you like.

I do not find it bad at all, and I'm a stock kinda guy.
Do not listen to Beaner, he ruined a perfectly good car by putting a V8 in it, no taste.

I think it looks good.

Driving by you'd have no idea it's electrical tape. Therefore, it is cheap and effective.

Win.

Well ... I don't know if I like it or not. The tape makes it very easy to go back to OEM. Like I said, I was bored. But I haven't seen the application of "color" on just the silver part, and leave the rest alone. Most just paint the whole grill.

I think Boiler's idea is good.... black with red(that matches the paint)...I might even think of mat black instead of gloss to kind of make the red look like it is the only thing there....

Every body plays with the grille. Low cost entertainment. I enjoyed mine. Gary

LOL...jealously doesn't become you 180

I really don't like the grill that way, I would have gone with just doing the whole thing in red if I were going to do anything short of replacing it with what SRT SIX was putting out/offering.

For some colors, matching the grille works well. Don't work in red for me.

Tape the back dark gray section of the grill red, put chrome tape on the leading edge of the grill. Then sell it to ARADO. Just kidding. I like color matched grills. Paint the whole thing red!!!!!!
