rear chrome lettering
I noticed today that my " CROSSFIRE" chrome lettering on the rear deck lid is coming off. Looks like the adhesive is deteriorating. Does anyone have a location or source for new adhesive or do you have to buy new lettering. Do you know where that might be purchased other than dealer?

Go to an automotive paint supply store. 3M makes a double sided "tape" that is pretty much just the adhesive. You peel the backing off one side, stick your letters onto it, trrim, peel the backing off the other side and stick the letters onto the car.
Get some adhesion promoter (3M06396) - it will change your life. Do a good job of cleaning the back of the letters and the surface of the car, apply adhesion promoter, and those puppies are not likely coming off any time soon.

Re: rear chrome lettering
oledoc2u,
Thanks for the comment, probably is good to have them up off the paint, so car can be polished easier. I think I will experiment with cutting the mounting of the double face tape just to see how hard it is to cut out etc. I already have some and a good exacto knife.
