Default Headlamp (bulb) failure

Good evening. First time to post. My Crossfire is a 2007 Black/Black 6 speed 40,000 miles. The drivers side low beam bulb has failed again. It is the third time in 18 months. What would cause this? I appreciate any information. Thanks!

What brand?
Also connector bad contacts can cause premature failure.
Check the fuse for that bulb, maybe it's not making a good contact.
As it is limited to one side I do not think it is voltage spikes.

Sylvania and/or Phillips were the first two, which I replaced myself. The last one was put in by the mechanic I use since I took it in to check for an electrical problem that might be the cause. I know they used a high end bulb, but it's only lasted maybe three months. I'll be sure to check the fuse and connector when I replace it this go around. Thanks!

Looking up the Sylvania Silver Star bulbs, the last ones that I purchased were the Ultras (with the gold stripe on a red package - $50 for 2). Prior to those, I believe were one of the Philips H7 bulbs, but not positive which ones ($40 for 2). The last one the mechanic put in did not list the brand on my receipt, but I could probably get the info. I do know he stated it was a high end bulb, and it did outlast either of the previous bulbs.

The silverstar bulbs are great while they work but are known not to last long. I've used them in 2 cars and was lucky if I got 6 months out of them.
