led license plate lights order
Hey all, its winter and Im bored...looking to do some little mods. Searched on led replacement lights and just want to ask:
Im looking to upgrade my license plate lights with cool white leds from superbrights.
If Im correct, I need the 3610x (4LED) festoon bulbs. they are 36mm.
Are resistors needed? I read they were but also read that the light out indicator doesnt pick up lic plate lights
heres a link to what Im looking at at superbrightleds
3610-x4 Festoon Bulb Specifications
thank you for any help

Yes you will need in line resistors or you will get a "bulb out" light on the dashboard. I am pretty sure you can get them from SuperBright. I am in the process of changing out all of my secondary (license plate, marker and turn signals) external bulbs on my XLR with "Can-Bus" LED bulbs, they do not need resistors and do not give you a "bulb out" indication.

WAIT UP. ok after about 10 mins my light out indicator was flashing on about one minute then go off for about 15 seconds. At lunch, I turned the lights on and waited for the dash light to go on. About 2 minutes, the canbus light (R/R) went out and the dash light came on. Im contacting the seller to see about the replacement cause I think its getting hot then going out.
The eyebrow light is a type 194, they are also sold by factorykiss
