Default Experiment with ricochet

just playing around with a product we sell called ricochet. haven't got the color perfect yet but I will.
ricochet is like rock guard for tail lights headlights etc. took about 40 mins to do all the lights completely removable and light visibility about 70% brighter then covers/tinting. ( ill be able to match my stock paint a little better soon I hope

Your tailpipes are dirty...
Interesting, how do you apply this? What exactly is it?

More info please. Can you match graphite?

Edit: When I wrapped my corner lenses in black, I had to wrap around almost a half inch over what I would have thought just to hide the orange and red from the cracks, it looks like you can still see orange pretty clearly in your 2nd photo, you may want to just leave an extra 1/4 inch all the way around so you can heat and wrap, thats just my $0.02

Looks pretty nice ..... now all you need is something to protect the rims from "road rash".....

yes I could have sunk it in better :P .
the stuff is like an adhesive film flexible easy to install can pull it off and reposition if ya mess up. and can be any color you desire as long as ya have a paint code. (its translucent so taillight color will darken the overall color) /cheers

... still looking for rims for this thing rash was there when i got it

So is this something you have access to? Would you be willing to make another set for the tails and all 4 corner lights? The new coupe would look good with this. Thanks.

how about i tell you how i did it and u can do as well its not hard.

I mix the base coat with 50/ 50 clear. let dry and do the same with clear coat.
I did 2 light coats to get the color I thought was right, but it appears my clear didn't have enough tint to it. the rock guard costs about 30$ for 15" bye 40" and is enough to do the car 3 times.
if you buy rock guard or any 3m style clear vinyl it will still be flexible (available any vinyl distributor.)

hope this helps you to do it yourself. if not pm me.

To achieve this same look where the light is the same color as the car I have seen many guys just use the same paint as their body color and while mixing it they just over reduce the base coat so it becomes thinner. You spray it on in very light coats until you get the shade you want. Then simply clear over it.

Or ive even heard of just adding color to the clear

Interesting, I may have to do this instead of just smoking the lenses, but the metallic component of my paint, I wonder how it would look....

i can see the metallic from my paint no prob, i wouldn't paint right on your lenses tho for how cheap the vinyl is it is best to do it to that,
good luck cant wait to see pics of your rides if ya do this

I would like to see early evening and night pictures...before and after would be nice, but I guess it is to late for that unless you uncover one side and then reapply.

My lenses are at the body shop getting smoked as we speak. I like the look of this, just do not want to mess with vinyl again, had it on the last one.
