Default Billet Grilles just installed... Pics :)

Well, I just got my polished billet upper and lower grilles in the mail today, went ahead and put them on. Installation was a breeze, and they look awesome. Totally changes the demeanour of the front end of the car.

Nice. I really like those better than other grilles I have seen for the XFire. Where did you find them?

Yeah, I'm not too much of a fan of mesh grilles, either. I found this while perusing eBay, and it was too good of a deal to pass up.

$240 with free shipping for both upper and lower grilles

Nice looking grill. One of our members worked with the manufacturer in Fla. to get these produced. They had a group buy on these a while back. Sorry, I do not remember the name of the member that got the ball rolling on these. There are many satisfied members that have these.

Well, whomever it was, I owe them a bit of gratitude, because I love these grilles, and the price is just amazing.

So, thank you, mystery member!

Ok, I looked it up, and it was Old Man that originated these. Here is the original thread: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...et-grille.html

That is a very god price.

No doubt, especially in comparison to the outrageously overpriced T-Rex grilles... $695 for just an upper grille... Cmon...

By the way, for anyone that is interested, I'm selling my stock grille. Reference my post in the Private Classifieds section for more info.

Wasn't it donoutwest that did this, then had them stolen from him?

now I also see the differences in yours and mine. My uppers and lowers go all the way across the openings. Yours are set back in, so while I like the lowers more set back, I like the slant forward of the uppers on mine. They still look great, not dissin' there at all, but I just noticed the difference, and you got a great price on them.

Yeah, a subtle difference, but its there. I'm definitely happy with the purchase. And they were new, btw. Even used it would have been a good deal, though.

I have to admit, I was kind of surprised to see how many aftermaket parts there are for the Crossfire, considering it's limited production run. The first year I had the car I honestly didn't even bother looking because I figured there wouldn't be any, haha. Then about a month ago I found this forum and my whole outlook has changed.

Actually as I recall... I think it all actually started here:
Crossfire Grills Open for Business Tomorrow Morning, November 1

and ended here:
Crossfire Grills Will Be Closing

Different company and situation right? The ones referred to in this thread are the ones being produced in Florida that they used Old Man's car to prototype the design from. Not a ripoff from Donoutwest. Did I miss something?

As far as I can tell, it is not even close to the same grill design.

Donoutwest grill:

Thanks for verifying... I just did not want people to be confused and think these were a ripoff of a forum members (Donoutwest) design and not purchase them for that reason.

At first I was sceptical of the design because I did not care for the donoutwest, but now that I have seen a few in person and seen the different finishes, I have to say my hat is off to Grille Tech and many thanks to you, Old Man, for going and initiating and making this a reality, they look great.
